Andrew Harvey said “Surrender is deeply misunderstood as an act of weakness, surrender is the bravest and most lucid thing a human ever does, and that’s why it so precious to the devine.
To surrender can take a major act of courage on our part and a complete release and detachment from the ego.” For me the act of surrendering was liberating and ultimately freeing. Not to chastise myself for my weakness, but to honor myself for the courage to know that this was the start to genuine growth and emotional maturity. Much of the greatness that we see in the world today all started with the courage to surrender. Mary Anne Radmacher said “Courage doesn’t always roar, sometimes courage is the quiet voice at the end of the day saying, “I will try again tomorrow.” To this I surrender and there I will find my peace.
