Week 77, Volume 77
Happy Thanksgiving to you all. I truly appreciate each and every one of you and pray that this day and everyday be filled with love and peace.
Kristin Armstrong summed up what many of us go through each day in our lives when she put pen to paper: “I write about the power of trying because I want to be okay with failing. I write about generosity because I battle selfishness. I write about joy because I know sorrow. I write about faith because I almost lost mine, and I know what it is to be broken and in need of redemption. I write about gratitude because I am thankful – for all of it.”
I challenge you to stop and reflect on all the circumstances, people and challenges that have come into your life over the past year. Good or bad, they have helped to shape, define and frame the person you are today. Gratitude has the ability to transform the common into the extraordinary, the ordinary into blessing. Take time to look for it, the gift in every day. It is there.
Continue each day as Ralph Waldo Emerson said: “Cultivate the habit of being grateful for every good thing that comes to you, and to give thanks continuously. And because all things have contributed to your advancement, you should include all things in gratitude.”
