Week 85, Volume 85
In an interesting article I read this week (https://jamesclear.com/ira-glass-failure), this particular line was quick to catch my attention: Anything worth doing and doing well is going to take time. Our society, and I am as guilty as anyone, is looking for the quickest and pain-free avenue to success. In the same article he mentions the need to do “hard work:”
- Spend a year or two in the gym and you’ll start to recognize good technique, even if your own could use some work. This is something I’m struggling with right now. I know a great clean and jerk when I see one, but when I grab hold of the bar it’s still hard for me to pull it off.
At times you will be doing the necessary hard work and succeeding will come so slowly it will almost feel like you are failing. Do it anyway!
